Read the full meeting minutes for our committee meeting of 26/6/2009
Present: Katy, Tina, Jennifer and Jacqui.
Apologies: Val, and Pauline
1. Our next monthly meeting is our strawberry cream tea, for which we are going to charge £2 per person. Pauline will liase with Maggie so that they both bake the same size +scones; Jennifer is to get the jam and milk; and Tina is to get the cream and butter.
2. The plaque that we purchased in memory of Dennis Warf was too big for the wheelchair, so we will display that one at the hydrotherapy pool when we get the equipment for the pool. We will have a smaller one made for the wheelchair.
Maureen will come to the July meeting to present the wheelchair to RASCALs. If she does not mind, we will have a photograph taken for the Herald, so that people who have donated towards this can see it.
The wheelchair will be stored at Val’s until needed. Anyone who wants to use it must first sign a disclaimer.
3. The summer fete is to be cancelled this year because all the committee members will be unavailable due to operations or personal commitments. We hope to have one in early spring 2010 when everyone is well. We will inform all members of this at the next meeting; Katy will telephone anyone who does not attend that meeting.
4. Tina is to write to Dr Sam, Dr Wojtuleski and Dr Pool: telling them that the garden party is cancelled; we are moving to Pevensey next year; and also to invite them as our guests to the Christmas dinner - the committee has agreed that we will pay for their Christmas dinner.
