Full transcript of our 10th garden party speech in 2008
I would like to say how lovely it is to see so many of you here today on this our 10th and last Garden Party to be held at Jennifer and Rolands. I would like to say a very warm welcome to all Members Family and Friends.
We are expecting our President Dr Wojtuleswki and his wife, Dr Sam Consultant Rheumatologist, Julian Heath who is our Biologics Nurse and Sue Wandenwinegarten Occupational Therapist, we would like to say thank you to you all for coming and giving up your time to support us.
When we did our first garden party we had just a handful of people but over the years it has grown to what it is today a very successful and popular event.
I would like to say a few Thank yours to people who with out all there help and hard work we would not have had the success without you.
We owe a very Big Thank you to Roland and Jennifer who have allowed us the use of their lovely garden over these 10 years. Thank you so much, also to thank Jennifers sisters and grandchildren and not forgetting Sissy, who have catered and waited on us, done the washing up, and all who have helped in the preparing and clearing up.
I also would like to thank all the committee especially Val who has spent hours making cards alongside me, and the rest of the committee for being able to bring today all together. The last Thank you goes to all of you who have made cakes donated raffle prizes supplied produce, and volunteered to mange stalls. Thank You
We have lots of things to keep you interested in we have tombolla treasure map, cards, cakes, white Elephant, fruit basket and many other things to take your fancy So please do have look at all the stalls.
I will be starting the Auction at about 2pm I hope you will bid generously as all proceeds will go into Rascals, this will be followed by the Raffle and after that we shall cut our Special Cake to celebrate this 10th year.
I hope you have a really lovely day and please spend lots of money.
