Well I would like to wish you all a Very Happy and Healthy 2010 and I hope is a better year for us all.
The start has not been good weather wise with all the snow. Unfortunately we had to cancel our committee meetings twice due to bad weather and illness. So unfortunately we did not have the programme worked out for this years Rascals Meetings and Social Events, if you now look under events you will see we have rectified this matter and it is all done, and we hope you will look forward to the events of the coming year.
As you will see the committee stayed the same apart from Jennifer who resigned after many years being on the Committee of Rascals with positions from Chair to Vice Chair, Social Secretary to Welfare. We would like to say thank you to Jennifer for her work done over the years. Christine French is now taking the place of Jennifer as Welfare Officer
Christmas Lunch was a great success and every one had a fantastic time.
The Summer Lunch is yet to be arranged and we will let you know as soon as possible.
We are looking forward to our fete in April with cakes, cards, tom-bolla, books, bric- a-brac jewellery, and other items of interest. Also their will be no lunch but, tea or coffee and cake will be available.
Our Coach trip out this year will be to Pollhill Garden Centre in Kent, where their is an enormous amount of Christmas decorations, shops, food halls, gifts books, A huge butchery dept home made pies and florists, and a very large restaurant. This will be an all day event so do book seats early.
I would like to thank all members for their support without you their would be no Rascals.
